Solar do Requeijo by Luna Hotels & Resorts

This hotel is simply marvellous. The building, recently restored, is a mansion with a lot of history and we felt like in a fairy tale. Everything is well kept, includng the beautiful gardens. The hotel has a great pool open till 20.00 Behind the main historical building there is a new two storey building with new rooms. We stayed in one of these rooms. The room was comfortable and equipped with everything, including complementary coffee/ tea and water and bathrobes. Breakfast is divine, especially during the week-end when it's more scenographic. We could not try their restaurant because we stayed exactly during the closing days. However, the hotel is at a very short walking distance from the town and the cafes/estaurants. A very friendly staff assisted us during the whole stay. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

We had a formidable 7 day stay, enjoying the recently inaugurated facility in the beautiful ancient building. The staff was friendly and positively caring for our wellbeing at all times. We stayed in room 105 on the first floor, which is spacious and tastefully decorated, well lit, and well equipped, all as advertised. We enjoyed the King size bed with a good quality mattress and pillow menu. We frequently enjoyed the well kept heated hotel pool, yacuzzi and sauna, all with comfortable relaxing, seating and well shaded by umbrellas. Breakfast offers a good selection of choices at buffet style and complementary on order items. The location of the hotel at walking distance from the village is very convenient, and the beautiful greater area invites to being explored by car.

The rooms are very plush and very inviting especially the ones with access to your private patio. I enjoyed the swimming pool. To have both options either to be in an indoor or outdoor swimming pool smartly connected by a channel was just a great touch!

Solar do Requeijo is an extremely comfortable . Very well located , close to the river and the centre of Arcos de Valdevez you can literally walk to the centre . All staff are very friendly and helpful Hugo at the reception was a pleasure to deal with. A place to repeat. Thanks again.
